Description
Rolling mountains slope gently down into sandy creeks where fishing boats bob on emerald waters. This island had a quiet life by the Seto Sea until the influential publishing group Benesse transformed it into a hip destination, building a contemporary art gallery and a luxury hotel. Ando Tadao was entrusted with this distinctive project, which has grown in importance and contributes to making the island very fashionable.
