Chichu Art Museum
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

Tucked away on a hillside overlooking the sea, Chichu Art Museum created in 2004 by Ando Tadao is a highly unusual, almost troubling site. It only showcases a few works of art, but each one enjoys a highly theatrical setting, taking the visitor on a journey that is sensorial, intellectual and emotional. Claude Monet's Nymphéas are flanked by contemporary installations by James Turrell and Walter de Maria.
