Kanazawa 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art is an authority in its field, presenting Japanese and foreign artists of international renown. The vast, circular building with fluid lines has entrances on all sides and, being made out of glass, is inundated with light. The museum is split into a series of spaces (gallery, theatre, workshops for children, media laboratory, library), and promotes itself as open to all, with visitors able to wander freely about the playful exhibits. The collections include art, crafts, design, fashion and films.
