Description
The Verdon takes its source on the slopes of Allos Pass, at an altitude of 2,240m/7,349ft. The river has shaped the landscape of this high-altitude valley whose unspoiled countryside is breathtaking. The village of Allos, ski resorts of Seignus and La Foux are on the doorstep of Mercantour National Park, hikers' paradise. If you venture into the park, you will be able to admire the highest lake in Europe at 2,200m/7,218ft.
