Description
The striking, dome-topped Legislative Assembly Building is sheathed in weather-hardy zinc panels. It is designed to make maximum use of available light and convey a sense of openness about territorial government. Highlights include the Great Hall, with overhead banners depicting the subarctic seasons. Crafted by regional artists, the assembly's ceremonial mace is made of silver and bronze, with gold and diamond embellishments. A gallery contains more regional art.
