Description
Set on a rock that is the highest point in Yellowknife, this memorial honours the men who opened up the North. The Bush Pilot's Monument commands a splendid panorama of the city. The red-topped tower of the former Cominco gold mine dominates the skyline. A hive of activity, the bay ripples with seaplanes arriving from the mining camps or departing with supplies for exploration teams.
