Description

The hospital is located in the former convent of the Grey Nuns. A fine example of the architecture prevalent during the early colonization of Red River, this huge white oak building was built in 1846. It is the oldest edifice in Winnipeg. The museum features furniture and memorabilia concerning the early nuns and the inhabitants of Saint Boniface, in particular Louis Riel.
