Description

This eminent institution, opened in 1968, is dedicated to the natural and cultural heritage of British Columbia. The foyer houses the oldest First Nations totem poles in the whole province. British Columbia's natural history is featured on the second floor. The remarkable "Open Ocean" exhibit pays tribute to William Beebe's deep-sea diving exploits in 1930. The third floor is devoted to the modern history of the province and has breathtaking displays dedicated to the history of the First Nations.
