Description
Housed in a Victorian mansion (1889), the gallery boasts an eclectic blend of East and West, ancient and modern. Included in the permanent collection are paintings by Emily Carr. The gallery's collection of Asian art, which includes a Shinto shrine (1899-1900) erected in the small Japanese outdoor garden, is shown in regularly changing exhibits.
