Description
This minimalist memorial pays tribute to the Vercors Resistance fighters. A self-proclaimed free zone, the Vercors taunted the Germans who launched an attack in July 1944, laying waste to the village of Vassieux. The modern, moving museography, which charts the Vercors Resistance Movement and national events of the era, focuses on visual and sound testimonials. A terrace overlooks the plateau, a battlefield in 1944.
