Description
For 4 000 years this has been the site of a flint-shaping workshop specialising in blades for knives and daggers, which were sometimes exported far from European shores. A building now protects this superbly preserved site that you can explore with enthusiastic guides who are flint-cutters themselves. Activities here include stone-cutting demonstrations, workshops, puzzles and an audio-visual programme, complemented by display cabinets and information boards that invite children to get involved as much as possible.
