Description
Some beaches provide protection against sharks - especially those that attack humans - using nets laid out in the water. A research institute, the Natal Sharks Board is endeavouring to get a better understanding of these sharks and to protect them as some are endangered species. An exhibition showcases the work carried out by the institution. If you ask in advance, you may be able to head out with a team as they check nets in the water.
