Description
This permanent market was originally intended for Northeastern immigrants arriving in Rio de Janeiro. Today it is very lively and makes for a fascinating excursion. Inside a multitude of stalls and booths sells arts and crafts, hammocks, clothing and food from the Northeast, while others serve regional dishes and beverages to the sound of the forró.
