Description
The valley is reached from the col de Puymorens by a winding road and through the Puymorens tunnel (above its entrance is the Cascade de Lumiere, a polychrome glass sculpture by Josette Rispal). The road drops down towards Carol, with views of the site of Porté-Puymorens, the gentle Carol Valley, and the glacial constriction. Beyond Porté, it enters the Faou defile (fine view to the left of the hamlet of Carol). Finally, a fertile high plain lies between Latour-de-Carol and Enveitg.
