Description
This museum, housed in the former Beau Plan sugar factory, is a must for learning about the history of the island and sugar cane. The fascinating tour, both fun and educational, focuses on some ten themes: the history pavilion (the most thorough exhibition on the island); the machine room, where the making of sugar is explained; the links between the sugar cane industry and renewable energies, pavilion (everything there is to know about the plant); the "sugar routes" through history.
