Description
Visitors can watch this lock in action as leisure boats are lowered and raised 20m in two lock chambers mounted on large rams. It can be viewed from the next-door Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site, which explains the construction and operation of the lock and the Trent-Severn Waterway. Boat trips allow visitors to experience the hydraulic lift lock in action.
