This long street lined with souvenir shops, cafés, restaurants and theatres is the main thoroughfare of the district whose traditions it attempts to uphold. Jugglers, fortune tellers and souvenir pedlars vie for pride of place along Arbat Street, the hub of this quarter. And even if Moscow's most famous street does have its fair share of tourists, it's still fun to stroll around in the footsteps of illustrious writers, possibly visiting the Pushkin Apartment Museum (N° 53) where the poet once lived.
