Useful information

Description

This museum is housed in the residence of Valencia-born painter Joaquín Sorolla (1863-1923), the "painter of the light". The paintings are distributed around the space in three broad categories: landscapes, striking seascapes and beaches, and traditional portraits, which give an insight into Spain's costumes and festivals in the early 20C. Also make time for the ceramics or the series of statues of the Virgin Mary. Lovely garden.
