Useful information

Description

Dedicated by Pope Pascal II in 1107, this basilica, a major example of Lyon's Romanesque style, has been transformed on numerous occasions. The bell tower-porch, finished by a pyramid that is framed by some bizarre acroters, has a distinctive shape. Inside there are some fine historiated Romanesque capitals. Ste-Blandine chapel is purported to have housed the remains of the martyrs of 177.
