Description
Around Temple Church, which was built by the Knights Templar, this fine pedestrian area is a picturesque maze of old buildings, courtyards, vaults, passages and gardens. Two of the capital's four law schools, the Inns of Court - Inner Temple and Middle Temple - are situated here. Historically, Inner Temple was thus named because it stood within the City of London, as does Middle Temple.
