The episcopal city, whose cathedral was restored between 1994 and 1999, dominates the upper town. Leave Place des Tables, home to the graceful 15C Choriste fountain, and take the picturesque Rue des Tables, whose flights of steps are lined by old houses, where you can see lace-makers at work.
