On the other side of the park surrounding the McGregor Museum, this gallery displays the ethnographic work of Alfred Martin Duggan-Cronin, and Irishman who worked for De Beers in the 1920s. On a 120 000km journey across the southern part of the continent, this photographer took thousands of pictures of African community life. His portraits of women and children have a rare intensity to them.
