Description

To learn more about the pioneers of the anti-apartheid struggle, visit this museum. Sol Plaatje was a Kimberley postman in the 1890s; this Tswana was the first African to write a novel in English and the first to translate Shakespeare into Setswana. Elected Secretary of the South African Native National Congress in 1913, he devoted his entire life to the struggle against injustice.
