Description
The majestic cathedral, founded in the 10C, shared the twists and turns of the town's fortunes, burned on occasions and often rebuilt. Do not miss the flamboyant north door and, inside, the wrought-iron railing closing off the chancel, the stained-glass windows (said to be the finest of the 14C) and the wooden screen of the 4th chapel. We recommend returning in the early evening to enjoy the sound and light show put on by the episcopal city.
