Useful information

Description

A fine example of 18C architecture, this house has a balcony in dark wood running the length of its ochre façade. The patio at its centre has tinajones, the jars typical of Camagüey. The museum is devoted to the town's most important patriot, Ignacio Agramonte, who died in battle aged 32 in 1873. The rooms recreate the ambience of a 19C residence. The only original furniture item is the piano, plus a few personal objects, souvenirs of the struggle that was the Ten Years' War.
