Useful information

Description

Behind Abiel Smith School, this delightful brick church is the nation's oldest (1806) remaining black church. It provided a forum for supporters of the anti-slavery movement. The upper level is set aside for the Meeting House, while the lower level is home to the Museum of Afro-American History that organizes exhibitions related to New England's African American community.
