Description
Founded in 1326 by Queen Elisenda de Montcada, this convent has accommodated a community of nuns of the Order of St. Clare since the 14C. The church is preceded by Plaça del Monestir. In the cloister on three levels, a magnificent example of 14C Catalan Gothic architecture, look out for the chapel of St Michael whose walls are adorned in marvellous murals by Ferrer Bassa.
