Description
The valley of the River Dee extends deep into the Grampians. Dotted with castles such as Drum and Crathes, it is home to a wide variety of sites, including the architectural masterpiece that is Crathes Castle, and Balmoral Castle, summer residence of the Royal Family, who generally attend the Braemar Highland Gathering held in Braemar every September. The tour ends at Linn Of Dee, a famous vista, where it is possible to see salmon leaping.
