Description
In the heart of a listed site dotted with 27 high-altitude natural lakes, Lac des Bouillouses (alt. 2 017m) lies in a beautiful location. A dam has transformed it into an impressive 180ha reservoir that supplies the irrigation canals and hydroelectric power plants of the Têt valley. Several signposted routes are an invitation to set out on a hike, such as the circuit known as the Boucle des Étangs du Carlit. Amenities by the lake include accommodation and eateries.
