Description
According to legend, the goddess of beauty liked to come and bathe in this natural conch. It is said that its waters assured eternal youth, and it was here that the first amorous encounter took place between Adonis and Aphrodite. A few minutes' walk through cool undergrowth takes you to the spot, which is not much to look at. However, it is the starting point for two lovely walks (each 3hr) through the Akamas Peninsula, a nature reserve and protected area untouched by construction.
