The Michelin Guide's review
Below the very Tyrolean Val Pusteria, the Braies, Sesto and Ampezzano Dolomites form what is commonly known as the Northern Dolomites. It is here, amidst these giants of stone, that the Conca Ampezzana unfurls, home to a pearl: Cortina d'Ampezzo. The elegant resort is one of the most famous in the Alps, no doubt because it hosted the Olympic Games in 1956.
