This chic restaurant is housed in the handsome Palais Wildenstein, built in the early 17C and remodelled in the Baroque style in 1702-03. The interior is a tasteful blend of a beautiful, bright vaulted space, clean modern design and fresh pops of colour. The menu features flavoursome, freshly prepared dishes such as Weizklamm salmon trout ceviche with watermelon, sesame and coriander, or Styrian Backhendl (Austrian-style fried chicken) with Graz butterhead lettuce, radishes and pumpkin seed oil. From Wed to Fri, diners can choose between the two-course "Business Lunch" and a selection of à la carte dishes. The courteous, efficient staff are engaging and happy to offer advice. The courtyard terrace is another plus. Tip: Wednesday BBQs are held in summer. Once a month, they host a guest winemaker, with a special set menu and wine pairings.
