Trattoria Cibrèo - Il Cibrèino

The Michelin Guide's review
A simple, authentic trattoria – not to be confused with the more elegant Ristorante Cibrèo next door, but rather similar to the nearby Caffè Cibrèo, of which it is an even more informal version – this historic Florentine establishment has for years remained a go-to spot for those seeking tasty, traditional cuisine without breaking the bank. The menu features dishes that have now become true house classics: tripe salad, vegetable minestrone with red rice, braised lampredotto, roast pork loin with mashed potatoes and, to finish, a caramel panna cotta that evokes memories. As the Inspector summarises: ‘It’s the restaurant I’d go to for a meal if I were on holiday in the city.’ A reassuring and distinctive establishment, true to its culinary philosophy and still much loved today by both Florentines and tourists.
