Description
Within Assiniboine Park, there is a huge zoo with a tropical greenhouse, where monkeys and exotic birds live in lush vegetation. Not far from the zoo, sculptures by Ukrainian artist Leo Mol stand in the Sculpture Garden. His paintings and sketches are housed in the adjacent gallery. The Winnie the Bear sculpture (named for Winnipeg) is said to have inspired A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh.
