Description
Sited in the old Dos Três Escalões Palace (built in the 16C and altered in the 18C), the museum has sculpture from the 13C to the 18C, Portuguese paintings from the 19C and early 20C - including works by Columbano (1857-1929) and António Carneiro (1872-1930) - goldware, and oriental ceramics, but is principally known for its works by the primitives of the Viseu School.
