Mahé Island
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

The granitic island of Mahé calls for superlatives. It is the largest, at 155km2, the most economically and politically dynamic, the most populous, the highest with the Morne Seychellois, which peaks at 905m, and, unjustly, the least well known. The "big island" offers visitors a magnificent coastline, trails winding through a pristine natural environment, and charming fishing villages. It's just waiting to be explored - via the little road that runs almost all the way around it!
