Description

This Reserve contains several historically important sites located along the Columbia River. Between 1825 and 1846, the Hudson Bay Company established their headquarters here and, in 1849, the United States set up their first military post in the Pacific Northwest. Visit the O.O. Howard House Visitor Center, located in an 1878 Victorian house; Officers Row, comprising 22 officers' houses; Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, where the Hudson Bay Company's facilities have been reconstructed.
