The famous Pont d'Arc requires no introduction. This monumental natural arch ushers you into one of the most imposing natural phenomena in the southern region of France in a most grandiose fashion. Most of the gorges were declared a protected nature reserve in 1980 and the entire area was designated a site of national interest in 1993. The well-worn tourist route along the left bank rises up to take on the mountainside road, whose many viewpoints afford panoramic views that will take your breath away! Have a go at kayaking down at least part of the gorge.
