Description
Since 1936, Idekaya Yasubei Shouten firm has specialised in the manufacture of traditional potions made with medicinal plants. It is especially known for its famous Hangontan cure whose origins date back to the Edo period. The shop installed in a former warehouse, depicted by traditional architecture, is one of the town centre's oldest buildings. You will see and can even try your hand at an old pill manufacturing machine. No English spoken, but there is an information brochure.
