Useful information

Description

The magnificent brick buildings (1826-33), which were once abbattoirs, have been restored and renovated to accommodate this dynamic modern and contemporary art space. Pieces from the collection of over 3 000 works are displayed alternately, and highlights include the stage curtain, The Minotaur's body dressed as Harlequin, painted by Picasso in 1936 for the Romain Rolland play Le 14 Juillet at the Théâtre du Peuple.
