Description

Built in 1755 by the French, Fort Ticonderoga was besieged and captured by the British in 1759. The fort is famous for the surprise attack launched here against the British on May 10, 1775. In July and August interpreters in French military dress carry out artillery maneuvers every day. You'll also find an excellent military museum.
