Church of the Virgin of Belén
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

At the end of the pleasant main street, the church stands discreetly in its traditional adobe enclosure. Built in 1598, this exceptional chapel is the oldest in Noroeste. With a fine bell tower, it is its straw roofing that strikes you first of all, but make sure you get a good look at the handsome staircase leading to the roof, and the particularly affecting interior, with its blend of Naïve frescoes and statues decked out in bright colours.
