Useful information

Description

Sudbury Hall was built between 1660 and 1702. The exterior shows a conservative Jacobean style, whereas the interior is a combination of Renaissance Classicism and early Baroque. Numerous 18C paintings are on display here, including works by Grinling Gibbons, Edward Pierce and James Pettifer, who collaborated with the celebrated architect Sir Christopher Wren. The ceiling of the Great Hallery is superb.
