Description
Don't leave Stockholm without visiting its archipelago, a string of beautiful islands and islets of foreboding beauty. The nearest are accessible by road, but if you take the ferry you will have the opportunity to explore a maze of rocks and reefs amid nature at its best. With no fewer than 24 000 islands, only 150 of which are inhabited all year round, there's something for everyone. Sandham, a mecca for yachting enthusiasts, is the most historical, with its narrow pebbled streets lined with timber houses.
