Description
The governor of Cape Town is responsible for first planting grapes in Stellenbosch. Since then its vineyards have acquired an excellent reputation, for their size and yield as well as the ever improving quality of the wine. To meet the winegrowers and taste their nectar, follow the Wine Route, which highlights over 300 estates. Be aware that there is often a charge for wine tastings here.
