Description
Built in 1641 this house has miraculously escaped damage from fire, historically the scourge of St-Veran, making it the village's oldest house and its architecture is characteristic of upper Queyras homes. The rooms are adorned with lovely pine furniture and amply illustrate bygone peasant life: wood-boarded flooring in the courtyard and entrance, the "shepherd's room" with its tiny beds, the communal room shared by animals and humans and reconstituted workshops (carpentry, saddle making).
