Dominated by the summit of Omul (2,507m/8,225ft), the Bucegi mountains form a jagged wall enclosing the Prahova Valley. Cable-cars from Sinaia and Busteni head upwards to reach a vast plateau, paradise for walkers and winter sports lovers. Numerous refuges.
