The Michelin Guide's review
With its quiet atmosphere and abundance of greenery, the Confucius Temple, rebuilt in the 19C, is dedicated to this master of letters. At its entrance, two trees are decorated with red ribbons attached by students. There are two courtyards inside the temple, the second of which is used to worship the master and which houses his prayer tablets. The only building visible from outside the temple is the two-storey Kuixing pagoda, dedicated to literature. On Sundays, the temple hosts a book market.
