Useful information

Description

Housed in the former Fine Arts Pavilion, or Plateresque Pavilion, from the 1929 Fair, the Archaeological Museum is one of the best stocked in Spain. Pieces include the El Carambolo Treasure (7C-6C BC), a fine collection of Tartessos gold jewellery with a Phoenician influence. Look out for the goddess Astarte - a small bronze figurine from the 8C BC - and the Roman collections primarily from the site of Itálica.
