Description
As you stroll along the seafront, note the funicular trains ascending the cliff, bridges spanning deep estuaries, attractive pavilions and first and foremost the huge spa building. The elegant half-moon Crescent was begun in 1833 and is lined by attractive stone villas. The Rotunda (1828) stands a little further along.
